Mission

As part of the Global Legal team, you are contributing in partnering with, guiding and counselling the business operations, by providing excellent quality legal transactional support on Insurance, Procurement and Real Estate, ensuring that legal risk is minimized and Expleo assets protected. You are providing pro-active, professional, competent, (cost) effective and creative legal support.

 

You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and protecting the group’s interests. The ideal applicant should possess strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills, along with a deep understanding of contracts and private law.

 

Your main responsibilities may include:

 

Procurement:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide array of contracts with diverse stakeholders (e.g. facilities related contracts, IT and subcontractors contracts)
  • Advising on procurement-related claims and disputes
  • Providing legal support to Expleo’s Procurement team during contract negotiations
  • Collaborating with the Procurement team to develop and implement best practices

 

Insurance:

  • Assisting in reviewing and negotiating insurance policies
  • Providing comprehensive legal advice to internal stakeholders on insurance claims and coverage issues
  • Collaborating with insurance brokers and underwriters to secure appropriate coverage
  • Assisting in auditing and coordinating the local insurance policies
  • Staying updated on insurance laws and regulations

 

Real Estate:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating real estate transactions such as new leases, renewals, amendments, subleases and related contracts
  • Providing comprehensive legal advice to internal stakeholders on real estate claims and disputes
  • Supporting our Facilities Team on day-to-day operations

 

General responsibilities:

  • Working with external stakeholders (brokers, lawyers, notaries, etc.)
  • Assisting with anticipating and analyzing legal and commercial risks
  • Assisting with development and implementation of new guidelines to achieve company goals and programs
  • Assisting with the development and delivery of training programs
  • Conducting legal research and providing clear, concise, accurate and actionable legal advice

 

You report to the Global Legal Center Head in Romania and to Group Legal Counsel on Insurance and Real Estate in France.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Law
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a lawyer or in-house legal counsel
  • Strong experience in international contract negotiation on a wide range of procurement contracts, and in advising on various aspects of law (common law contracts and civil law) in legal areas such as insurance and real estate
  • Excellent commercial and business awareness, with a strong professional ethic, and the energy, interest and training to pursue a wide array of matters
  • Strong record on dealing with commercial, insurance, real estate, risk management matters.
  • Other main qualities: diplomat with a strong set of interpersonal skills; excellent negotiation skills; excellent drafting skills; Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written; excellent skills in mastering office tools
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and international work environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively, autonomous.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions
  • Team spirit and a true willingness to learn
  • Legal skills combined with an ability to take strategic view on the challenges and issues facing the business.
